Of note, there's a chance that the date of a lot of modern images will be offset by an hour or so. This is an error in the filenames of the archive. The url's reflect the correct, requested data.

I hope this display can provide a more user-friendly experience than is currently available using this great archive.

Seasoned familiarity with the SPC mesoanalysis will reveal that the SPC generates quite a few more products than available in the archive. Currently, they simply don't archive all of them. There is also a handful of products that aren't represented here that may be seen on the official archive page. This is because some of the products are deprecated or a non-useful size.

A few of the archived products, like convective outlooks and watches, are natively transparent. Although they are officially archived, the user is not able to select them on the official page. To implement their use here, I took a different archived product with a background-map that didn't have a lot of noise on it. I then cleaned it up and now use it as back-drop that is naturally visible when these transparent products are selected.
